Devon Reynolds is a partner at Reynolds & Reynolds Financial Partners, the Atlanta-based financial planning firm she co-founded with her husband, Shad, in 2011. Both Devon and Shad had worked in the financial services industry for many years before establishing their own practice.

Coming out of graduate school, where she was pursuing training in deaf education, Devon turned to a financial planner for assistance with her personal finances. Her advisor recognized her innate ability to work with numbers, as well as her ease with people. “It also helps that I like to get to the point, because people appreciate a concise and direct approach when it comes to money,” Devon points out. The advisor suggested she explore the career.  She did and never looked back.

At the time she lived in San Diego, and given the city’s strong military ties, she chose to launch her financial career by working with federal employees. Devon developed a strong understanding of the often-labyrinthine federal benefits programs.  When she moved to Atlanta, she expanded her focus to other client groups, including practicing professionals such as attorneys, CPAs, and other service providers. “Even though everyone comes with their own unique set of challenges, ultimately, we help people do things that are going to put them in a better position for the long term,” she says.

Devon is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional (CFP®). She earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and her Master’s degree from San Diego State University. She is a sought-after public speaker on the topic of personal finance. Outside of work, she enjoys gourmet food and travel.

She resides with her husband, Shad, in the Greater Atlanta area.
