Learn More About Devon
Devon Reynolds is a partner at Reynolds & Reynolds Financial Partners, the Atlanta-based financial planning firm she co-founded with her husband, Shad, in 2011. Both Devon and Shad had worked in the financial services industry for many years before establishing their own practice.
Coming out of graduate school, where she was pursuing training in deaf education, Devon turned to a financial planner for assistance with her personal finances. Her advisor recognized her innate ability to work with numbers, as well as her ease with people. “It also helps that I like to get to the point, because people appreciate a concise and direct approach when it comes to money,” Devon points out. The advisor suggested she explore the career. She did and never looked back.
At the time she lived in San Diego, and given the city’s strong military ties, she chose to launch her financial career by working with federal employees. Devon developed a strong understanding of the often-labyrinthine federal benefits programs. When she moved to Atlanta, she expanded her focus to other client groups, including practicing professionals such as attorneys, CPAs, and other service providers. “Even though everyone comes with their own unique set of challenges, ultimately, we help people do things that are going to put them in a better position for the long term,” she says.
Devon is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional (CFP®). She earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and her Master’s degree from San Diego State University. She is a sought-after public speaker on the topic of personal finance. Outside of work, she enjoys gourmet food and travel.
She resides with her husband, Shad, in the Greater Atlanta area.

Learn More About Shad
Shad Reynolds is a partner at Reynolds & Reynolds Financial Partners, the Atlanta-based financial planning firm he co-founded with his wife, Devon, in 2011.
Shad started his financial services career as an advisor in 1998. Recognized for his leadership ability, he was soon promoted into management and spent his career recruiting and mentoring new advisors, and growing practices. At Reynolds & Reynolds, Shad oversees the operation of the firm, which translates into managing people and processes to deliver a seamless client experience. “We have intentionally designed the firm to ensure subject matter expertise and continuity of service for our clients,” he says.
By training, Shad is a civil engineer, who served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. When he first explored the notion of becoming a financial advisor, the career was presented to him as an opportunity to help people with the mechanics of wealth building. The idea appealed to his engineer’s mind. Shad’s analytical thought process, logical approach and relentless drive are all attributes that benefit the way the firm operates today. Not surprisingly, he is known for moving people from ideas to implementation.
“We pride ourselves on developing highly trained and coordinated teams that can serve our clients beyond their needs today,” he says. To that end, Shad leads a deep bench of talented professionals whom he coaches to address the client’s comprehensive financial picture.
Shad is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional (CFP®). He earned his degree in civil engineering from Tennessee Technological University in 1994. Among his proudest accomplishments are raising his three sons, serving in the US military, and being an Eagle Scout.
He resides with his wife, Devon, in the Greater Atlanta area.

Learn More About Nick
Upon graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Finance from Georgia State University, Nick Wagner formally joined Reynolds & Reynolds as a financial advisor in 2013 and proceeded to obtain the widely recognized CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional (CFP®) designation.
Nick first sampled a financial services career as an intern in 2012, and under the tutelage of the partners, Devon and Shad Reynolds, he entered what the firm calls its ‘residency program,’ – a graduated approach to learning financial planning from the ground up. It was a good career choice for Nick, as it allowed him to marry his proficiency with numbers with his desire to help people. Today, Nick is a partner that continues to grow the firm.
Nick holds FINRA Series 6, 63, 65, and 7 securities licenses as well as his CFP® designation. In 2019, Nick recognized a huge need for advice around clients with student loans and studied to become a Certified Student Loan Professional™. Nick explains, “There are too many different types of repayment plans and forgiveness opportunities to treat student loans the same as other debts. It’s essential to evaluate all of the options and identify what route makes the most sense in coordination with a financial plan.”
To unwind, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs. His wife, Alison, is a Physician Assistant that works in the Atlanta area and they met while running cross country in high school. Their two dogs, Murphy and Doby, are quite the handful but they love them like they were kids.
